I am Marayah Lane of Brooms Baskets N Brides, where passion and love come together to create my signature ornate handle flower girl baskets, ring boxes and my specialty, wedding jumping brooms.

My wedding brooms are more than just unique designs, they carry cultural meaning rooted in history. They are inspired by the tradition of jumping the broom, a symbol of love and unity for African Americans who were denied legal marriage during the time of chattel slavery in the US. I design my wedding brooms for those who chose to pay homage to our ancestors by way of jumping the broom at the conclusion of their wedding ceremony. With each design we honor their resilience and celebrate our culture and traditions.

It is a true honor to be able to craft pieces that serve as a loving nod to our rich heritage.

While we embrace the beauty of satins, silks, brooches, and glitz and glam in this modern age, I never lose sight of the message embedded in the very essence of my designs, which is our tenacity and love that transcend time.
